Privacy policy

Last updated · July 3, 2026

At RECUVAL we handle personal information with the same rigor we apply to every portfolio. This policy explains what data we may receive through this site, why we use it, and the rights you hold under Ecuadorian data protection law.

01

Data controller

The controller of personal data is RECUVAL, a firm specialized in receivables recovery, asset management, and asset investigation, located at Av. de los Shyris N32-218 y Av. Eloy Alfaro, Edificio Parque Central, Piso 5, Of. 509, Quito, Ecuador.

You can reach us regarding this policy at info@recuval.com or +593 99 114 4894.

02

Data we process

This site does not store the information you type into the contact form on our own servers: the form only prepares a message that you send from your own email account or WhatsApp. Your data reaches us only when you decide to send it through those channels.

When you voluntarily contact us by email, phone, or WhatsApp, we may process the information you choose to share: name, company, position, contact details, and information related to your portfolio or outstanding obligations.

The site's hosting provider generates technical logs for security purposes (IP addresses, browser type, access timestamps, and error events), used exclusively to keep the site available and secure.

03

Processing purposes

We use personal data for legitimate, proportionate purposes:

  • Responding to inquiries, portfolio assessment requests, or service proposals.
  • Preparing meetings, evaluations, and professional proposals.
  • Managing pre-contractual or contractual relationships with clients.
  • Meeting legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.
  • Protecting the site's security and preventing misuse.
04

Legal basis

Processing relies on your request, your consent, the execution of pre-contractual or contractual measures, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in the security and improvement of our services, in accordance with Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP).

05

Confidentiality and professional secrecy

Information that clients share with RECUVAL in the course of a consultation or professional engagement is additionally protected by the duty of confidentiality and the professional secrecy inherent to legal practice. We apply that standard to all sensitive information we receive.

06

Third-party platforms

When you use WhatsApp, your email provider, or other external services to contact us, those providers process your data under their own privacy policies, which we recommend you review.

07

Data retention

We keep data only as long as necessary to handle your request, deliver contracted services, meet legal obligations, or defend rights. Files subject to statutory retention periods are kept for as long as the law requires. Information that is no longer necessary is appropriately deleted, blocked, or anonymized.

08

Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, updating, deletion, objection, portability, and the other rights recognized by the LOPDP. To do so, write to info@recuval.com stating the right you wish to exercise and a contact method.

If you believe your rights have not been addressed, you may file a complaint with Ecuador's Personal Data Protection Authority.

09

Security measures

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is entirely failsafe, so we recommend not sending sensitive information that is not necessary.

10

Minors

Our services are aimed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children or adolescents.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when our services, contact channels, providers, or the regulatory framework change. The current version is always the one published on this page.
